EBA Guidelines on the role and responsibilities of AML/CTF Compliance Officer comes into force from the 1st of December, 2022

Dear financial market participants,

Please be reminded that the European Banking Authority guidelines regarding the role and responsibilities of the AML/CTF Compliance Officer under Article 8 and Chapter VI of Directive (EU) 2015/849 are being applied from today (1st of December, 2022)❗️

The guidelines present details for financial market participants on:
👉 provisions on appointing an AML/CTF Compliance officer;
👉 roles and responsibilities applicable for an AML/CTF Compliance;
👉 AML/CTF compliance function organisation measures.

We highly recommend to familiarize yourself with the guidelines once again and to start applying them whilst providing your services as a financial market participant.

❕ Please note that the guidelines are not applied for virtual asset service providers.
